A critical consideration in the conversation surrounding physician compensation is the burden of night and weekend call. In cardiology, previous MedAxiom surveys have found call to be valued as high as 50% of total compensation. Given this lofty valuation, aligning the burden and frequency of call with its value is critical, especially to ensure optimal compensation for physicians. To gain insights into the specifics, MedAxiom is conducting a survey on cardiac surgery data. Please encourage your practice administrator or program director to take the survey, which should only take approximately 10 to 15 minutes. Take the 2024 Call Pay Survey – Cardiac Surgery here.
