Webinar | Minimally Invasive Mitral Valve Repair and UK Mini-Mitral Trial
Patients with degenerative mitral regurgitation are best treated with surgical mitral valve repair, but less invasive interventions such as transcatheter edge to edge repair have caught the attention of both patients and cardiologists. The UK Mini Mitral Trial randomized patients to either full sternotomy or mini-thoracotomy approach to mitral valve repair surgery, assessing the benefits of a less invasive approach to mitral regurgitation. These results were presented at the ACC.23 Scientific Sessions and implications of the trial will be discussed on this ACC webinar.

This handbook is intended for all of those involved with treating patients with structural heart disease. In developing this resource, our goal was to provide a single source of introductory information on aortic, mitral, and pulmonary transcatheter valve technology. As this field is evolving rapidly, standard textbooks do not provide the necessary content for trainees who wish to develop an understanding of this technology as they proceed through their rotations in structural heart disease.
