Study on Increased Bleeding Risk in Older AMI Patients Makes JACC Journals' Best of 2018 List

Among the top articles was The Association of Frailty With In-Hospital Bleeding Among Older Adults With Acute Myocardial Infarction, published in JACC: Cardiovascular Interventions. According to the study, increasing frailty in acute myocardial infarction patients ages 65 and older may be associated with major bleeding overall, and these patients may be at increased risk of bleeding when undergoing cardiac catherization.
