The ACC collects data about the app through analytics, usability studies, and impact studies when possible. Feedback is used to ensure the app's accuracy and to identify opportunities for improving the app's user experience and to inform the ACC Mobile App portfolio. |

The App is currently focused on clinical practice guidelines only. User feedback over time may indicate the need to include other clinical documents which the ACC could explore in the future. |

The tools in the Guideline Clinical App come from two sources: 1) tables, figures, and algorithms directly from the guideline which are converted into interactive versions and 2) existing tools developed by the ACC as part of the Clinical Toolkits currently available on ACC.org. |

The app was developed by a multidisciplinary team of clinical and non-clinical experts and was reviewed by members from the ACC/American Heart Association guideline writing committees. Testing of the app included a usage study, usability studies and an impact study. |

The App is targeted toward clinicians, but is free to all users including patients. ACC patient tools from CardioSmart are available on the App as appropriate. |

Will any personal or patient information be collected from the App?
No patient information is collected and stored in the App. Anonymous user behavior (i.e. number of people who downloaded the App, how many times a day the App was used) will be gathered through Google Analytics. |

There is no current functionality to export information from the app to electronic medical records. |
