Today we had an eight-hour drive from Shimla to Kalpa, along winding mountain roads. Between GI illnesses and car sickness, nearly every member of our group was dealing with something, but thankfully nothing major.
Below are photos of the beautiful drive and more. I annotated one with a blue line to detail the one-lane switch backs we shared with 16- and 18-wheeler trucks (oftentimes with no guardrails on the roads). We had breathtaking views of the mountains from our guest house in Kalpa.
