Adam Castano, MD, Receives ASE’s YIA Award
Adam Castano, MD, a Fellow in Training at Columbia University in the Division of Cardiology in New York, NY, has been awarded the American Society of Echocardiography’s (ASE’s) Arthur E. Weyman Young Investigator’s Award for his research, “Echocardiographic Predictors of Transthyretin Cardiac Amyloidosis among Patients with Severe Aortic Stenosis Undergoing Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement.” As the 2016 winner, Castano will present his research at the European Association of Cardiovascular Imaging’s EuroEcho-Imaging meeting in December, and the Japanese Society of Echocardiography’s Annual Scientific Meeting next spring.
