Heart failure with preserved ejection fraction (HFpEF) is a growing concern in cardiovascular medicine; representing over 50% of patients diagnosed with heart failure. Despite its growing prevalence, diagnosis and medical management of HFpEF continue to be incompletely understood.
With recent studies and expanded indications for novel therapies, in addition to the publication of the 2022 AHA/ACC/HFSA Heart Failure Guidelines, the ACC recognizes that now is the ideal time to convene experts to discuss these groundbreaking new developments in HFpEF and how they will impact practice moving forward.
The Recent Advances and Ongoing Challenges in HFpEF virtual Heart House Roundtable will serve as a valuable forum to delve deep into these critical issues. Through interactive discussions, participants will not only identify and clarify gaps in clinical care, but also brainstorm potential solutions to help drive better care and outcomes for patients with HFpEF.
- Welcome From ACC President Edward T.A. Fry, MD, FACC
- Session 1: How to Diagnose HFpEF in the Clinical Setting
- Session 2: How to Implement HFpEF Therapies for Equitable Care
