JACC: Cardiovascular Imaging Focus Issue Examines LV Strain in Predicting Hard Outcomes
A special issue of JACC: Cardiovascular Imaging brings together research demonstrating the value of left ventricular global longitudinal strain in cardiology.
Among the issue's six original research papers – each with accompanying editorial – is a paper analyzing global longitudinal strain and in-hospital mortality in patients with subarachnoid hemorrhage, and one on screening of relatives of patients with asymptomatic dilated cardiomyopathy.
The issue also contains a state-of-the-art review on assessing patient clinical risk at the time of cardiac stress testing, an imaging vignette on apical hypertrophic cardiomyopathy and two informative letters to the editor. Read the Editor's Page and full issue.
