Carnicelli, MD, FACC, et al., note the need for cardiologists focused on critical care, the skills required to be a contemporary critical care cardiology specialist and example curriculum that could provide a new pathway for trainees to obtain the necessary skills to work in this rapidly growing subspeciality.
