EP Section Recognizes National AFib Awareness Month
Several activities are happening around the College in recognition of National AFib Awareness Month.
On Saturday, Sept. 25 at from 1 – 2 p.m. ET, the EP Section will be hosting a Tweetorial on "AFib and Risk Factors." Follow @CardioSmart , @DrJCheungEP and @Dr_Mike_Fradley . View last year's Tweetorial thread here.
In addition, the EP Section Leadership Council has helped to update a majority of the CardioSmart AFib patient materials, starting with the main article located at this link. Some of the additional updated pages include information on Risk of Stroke and Blood Thinners, Tips to Live Better With AFib, and How Active Can I Be With AFib .
In addition, two new videos have been created by members of the EP Section Leadership Council.
In the first video, Rachita Navara, MD, breaks down AFib – the most common heart rhythm disorder.
In the second video, Rakesh Gopinathannair, MD, MA, FACC, discusses using personal, at-home wearable devices for monitoring AFib.
