Join the Cardiovascular Administrator Workgroup in a webinar on "MIPS and Physician Value Programs" on May 12 from 1 – 2 p.m. ET. The Merit-Based Incentive Payment System (MIPS), created by the Medicare Access and CHIP Reauthorization Act of 2015 (MACRA), will affect clinician payments starting in 2019, but reporting requirements will begin as early as 2017. Learn about the MIPS program and current proposals from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), as well as what you should know about the current Medicare programs – the Physician Quality Reporting System (PQRS), Value Modifier and Meaningful Use – in order to prepare your practice for MIPS. The Cardiovascular Management Section is also hosting a webinar series on Quality Resource Utilization Reports (QRUR), hosted by Charles Brown, MD, FACC, and Cathie Biga, MSN, RN. The first webinar in the series on May 18 from 1 – 2 p.m. ET will be focused on navigating QRUR to facilitate the connection between quality and finance. The second webinar, scheduled for June 8 from 1 – 2 p.m. ET will focus of navigating supplemental QRUR and understanding episodes of care from billing entities.
