Jennifer Co-Vu, MD, FACC

Professional Bio:

Dr. Jennifer Co-Vu, MD, FACC, FASE, FAAP, UP Class of 2001 is currently an Associate Professor of Pediatrics, Radiology, Obstetrics and Gynecology and is a Pediatric Cardiologist at the University of Florida Congenital Heart Center (UF-CHC). She is also currently the Director of the Fetal Cardiac Program and also the Director of the Single Ventricle Program of UF-CHC. Dr. Co-Vu is a currently a member of the UF-CHC Non-Invasive Imaging team performing cardiac magnetic resonance imaging (CMR), cardiac computed tomography (CT), and fetal, transthoracic and transesophageal echocardiography. She is involved in many international and national societies and is currently the in the leadership council of the American College of Cardiology Women in Cardiology, where she is also the inaugural chair of the Adult Congenital and Pediatric Cardiology (WIC-ACPC) Subcommittee. She is one of the Board of Directors of the Society of Pediatric Echocardiography, where she is currently the secretary, on a presidential track. She is the chair of various committees including being a pediatric representative of the Board of Directors of the Florida Chapter of American College of Cardiology. In UF College of Medicine, she is the current UF Women in Medicine and Science chair, the Pediatric Cardiology Clerkship Director and also Core faculty of the Fellowship program. She is also Editorial Consultant in JACC:Advances; Section Editor of JACC Case Reports, Section Editor of Current Cardiovascular Imaging Reports; International Editorial Board Member of Cardiology in the Young and Associate Editor of the International Journal of Cardiology. She has received numerous awards including the Award for Excellence from UP College of Medicine Phi Lambda Delta Sorority’s during the 50th Golden Foundation ball, multiple Exemplary Teacher Awards from the UF College of Medicine since 2012, being inducted in Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society in University of Florida and University of Illinois in Chicago, recipient of the Gold Humanism Award, and being selected to be part of the competitive American College of Cardiology Sandra J. Lewis Women in Cardiology Leadership Institute to name a few.
