Professional Bio:
Dr. Shah is the Director of the Fellowship in Advanced Heart Failure and Transplant Cardiology (AHFTC) and Director of the Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit at the University of Utah. He received his MD at the University of California Irvine. He trained in Internal Medicine at the University of California San Diego. He completed fellowships in Cardiovascular Medicine and AHFTC at University of California Los Angeles and Cedars Sinai Heart Institute, respectively. Dr. Shah has published over 50 peer-reviewed publications. He has won awards including the William W. Parmley Young Author Achievement Award from JACC and was chosen to be a member of the Vice President's Clinical and Translational (VPCAT) Research Scholars program at the University of Utah. Lastly, he co-chaired the 2022 Scientific Statement on Disparities in Heart Failure and has hosted the HF Beat Provider Podcast for the Heart Failure Society of America.
