ACC Names ACC.26 and ACC.27 CV Team Lead
The ACC has named Kristen Bova Campbell, PharmD, BCPS, CPP, FACC, as the Annual Scientific Session Cardiovascular Team Lead for ACC.26 and ACC.27.
Campbell is a clinical pharmacist and senior research associate in electrophysiology at Duke University Hospital, where she also serves as the director of the Duke Heart Center Anticoagulation Clinic and assistant professor of clinical education. She is also an adjunct assistant professor at the University of North Carolina Eshelman School of Pharmacy.
“I am excited for the opportunity to represent the Cardiovascular Team in planning meetings that emphasize the strongest science and best examples of team-based care,” says Campbell.
Her specialties include caring for electrophysiology and anticoagulation patients, and her research interests focus on antiarrhythmic medication safety, anticoagulation and arrhythmia screening. She has delivered numerous presentations on cardiac electrophysiology, cardio-oncology and health policy at the ACC’s Scientific Session, ACC Legislative Conference and Heart Rhythm Society Annual Sessions.
A long-time CV Team leader for the ACC, Campbell is an active member of the College’s CV Team Member Section, has served as an abstract reviewer, and been part of the Emerging Faculty Leadership Academy, Electrophysiology Leadership Council and Program Committee. Campbell also actively serves on the Health Policy Statement Planning Committee, Curriculum Design Committee and PharmD Workgroup, where she is co-chair.
