ACC CardiaCast: Conversations with Critical Care Cardiologists: Creating Educational Spaces for the Critical Care Cardiology Community

Drs. Rosy Thachil and Shashank Sinha continue their series, “Conversations with Critical Care Cardiologists”, sponsored by ACC’s Critical Care Cardiology (CCC) Section. In this episode, Drs. Thachil and Sinha interview the co-directors and co-founders of the New York University (NYU) Langone Critical Care Cardiology Symposium, Drs. Carlos Alviar and James Horowitz.

The NYU Critical Care Cardiology Symposium is the first of its kind in North America to provide a comprehensive state-of-the-art approach to the evaluation and management of patients with acute cardiovascular conditions in the contemporary cardiac intensive care unit (CICU). The CICU has undoubtedly evolved in recent years with respect to complexity, acuity, and severity of illness. The NYU Critical Care Cardiology Symposium provides a dedicated educational space pertaining to the care of these critically ill cardiac patients. More information about the conference can be found here (save the date for October 25-26, 2024!).
