CMS BPCI Advanced Model Year 7 Enrollment Deadline Approaching
The deadline to enroll in the Bundled Payments for Care Improvement Advanced (BPCI Advanced) Model for Year 7 (2024) is rapidly approaching. Enrollees must complete the BPCI Advanced Participant Profile found on the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) website by Dec. 4. Participation in Year 7 will begin on Jan. 1, 2024, and run through the end of the BPCI Advanced performance period on Dec. 31, 2025.
BPCI Advanced is a voluntary payment model that qualifies as an Advanced Alternative Payment Model under the CMS Quality Payment Program. Of note, BPCI Advanced enrollees who also participate in one or more of the ACC’s NCDR data registries, or who are affiliated with an NCDR participating facility, can have the respective NCDR registry complete the BPCI Advanced data reporting requirement on their behalf. For this to happen, any model enrollees who are active in or applying to the BPCI Advanced Model in Year 7 (2024) must submit to CMS their intent to use Alternate Quality Measures from ACC’s NCDR registries. A complete list of NCDR-participating facilities can be found though searching the Find Your Heart a Home webpage.
