Sharing Best Practices in the Land Down Under
ACC President Richard J. Kovacs, MD, FACC, headed to the land down under this month to represent the ACC at the 67th Annual Scientific Meeting of the Cardiac Society of Australia and New Zealand (CSANZ 2019) in Adelaide, Australia. Kovacs took part in a CSANZ/ESC/ACC Joint Session focused on innovation in U.S. cardiology.
The ACC, through its Australia and New Zealand International Chapter, works closely with CSANZ to provide networking, research and educational opportunities to the cardiovascular community in both countries.
The ACC and CSANZ have worked together to engage with Fellows in Training (FITs) by hosting an in-training exam and helping to set up an Early Career/FIT Council.
Additionally, ACC offers free membership to all medical students and FITs in Australia and New Zealand.
The annual CSANZ meeting is one of the largest events this year and provides a unique opportunity for leaders from around the world to share best practices and provide international perspectives on topics facing the global cardiovascular community.
