The ACC CV Team Section has invited speaker Michael Hoosien, MD, MSc for an educational session on the updated 2023 Atrial Fibrillation Guidelines. In this webinar, Dr. Hoosien will dissect the recommendations that have a high impact on clinical practice.

Key Objectives/Learning Outcomes:
Upon completion of this program, attendees should be able to:

  1. Describe the new Atrial Fibrillation classification scheme which is now based on stages of the disease rather than the duration.
  2. Recall the new recommendations as they relate to risk factor modification and prevention of thromboembolism.
  3. Understand the updated recommendations for left atrial appendage closure and catheter ablation therapy.
  4. Describe the new recommendations for rate control and rhythm control.
