ACC Honors 2023 Recipients of the Simon Dack Award for Outstanding Scholarship and Elite Reviewers
JACC recognizes the stand-out peer-reviewers whose work fortified the journal’s mission to publish pertinent, new clinical research

This year, the American College of Cardiology honors five peer-reviewers for the Journal of the American College of Cardiology (JACC) with the Simon Dack Award for Outstanding Scholarship and ten peer reviewers as Elite Reviewers.
The Simon Dack Award is named after the founding editor of JACC and recognizes outstanding peer reviewers for their contributions and achievements. The recipients’ efforts help JACC achieve its mission to publish new and important clinical information. The 2023 recipients are:

- Gilbert H. L. Tang, MD, MSc, MBA, Mount Sinai Fuster Heart Hospital, New York
- Alaa Alashi, MD, Yale University, New Haven, Connecticut

- John W. McEvoy, MD, Johns Hopkins University, Baltimore
The Elite Reviewers are people who have provided high-quality critiques to JACC. This year’s Elite Reviewers are:
