Cardiology Workforce

The United States is facing a serious shortage of cardiologists. With the aging population requiring cardiovascular care, in combination with a graying and retiring cardiology workforce, access to care in the coming decades will become a major problem unless actions are taken now to grow the cardiovascular workforce to a level that will meet future demands.

The ACC Workforce Task Force has been appointed to monitor the workforce situation and to identify and implement strategies to plan an adequate workforce for Americans in coming years. By creating this website, the Task Force hopes to share important workforce-related information to all of the stakeholders that are impacted by this issue. Click on the links below to see what role you can play in promoting an adequate workforce.
