Objectives

with particular emphasis on the risk of arrhythmias and

- Discuss the indications, benefits and adverse consequences
of cardiac resynchronization therapy (CRT) and strategies
for the management of CRT non-responders.
- Explain current approaches for the pre-participation
evaluation and risk assessment of the patient with an arrhythmia
substrate wishing to participate in competitive and non-competitive
sports.
