ACC Chapters

ACC chapters are valuable state and regional organizations for ACC members. The College has 48 chapters across the United States and Puerto Rico! Chapters provide ACC members with the opportunity to discuss local and regional concerns, and act as a leader in the resolution of issues that directly affect them. Participation in local chapters is the ladder to leadership opportunities at the national level.

Key chapter benefits include:

  • Local annual meetings and newsletters
  • Networking with peers
  • Representation in state legislatures
  • Representation to state regulatory agencies and third-party payers
  • Representation on state medical society boards
  • Participation in quality initiatives and programs
  • Participation in advocacy initiatives and programs
  • Local continuing medical education (CME/CE)

To become a chapter member, ACC national membership is required. Chapter membership forms can be found on the individual chapter web sites by using the pull down search menu below, or can be supplied through ACC national.

Use the pull down menu below to see what your chapter is doing and how you can help. Or look at a full listing of chapters.

Chapter Resources: The leadership of ACC Chapters should utilize the Chapter Affairs Extranet, which includes:

  • Board of Governors (BOG) Updates - upcoming meetings, "need-to-know" information, and a weekly letter from the Chair
  • Advocacy programs, payer issues reporting and discussion, and quality initiatives
  • Chapter operations manual
  • Chapter member data
  • Awards and grants available to chapters from ACC
