Professional Bio:
Julius M. Gardin, MD, MBA is currently Professor of Medicine and Director, Cardiology Division at Rutgers New Jersey Medical School. He is a former President of the American Society of Echocardiography (ASE), chaired their first Scientific Sessions, and is currently, Senior Consulting Editor of JASE. Dr. Gardin is the co-author of over 200 original research publications; has received research funding from the NIH, AHA and industry; a US patent for the PISA method; and a Gifted Teacher in Cardiology Award from the International Academy of Cardiology. He is active clinically and a frequent honoree of America's Top Doctors and multiple Who's Who Publications. Dr. Gardin co-chaired multiple physician education programs for the ACC and the writing group of the ACC/AHA Stable Ischemic Heart Disease guidelines published in 2012.
