Professional Bio:
Dr. Jennifer Cowger is the Section Head of Advanced Heart Failure at Henry Ford Health in Detroit, Michigan. She also serves as the medical director of the Durable Mechanical Circulatory Support Program and is an active member of the cardiogenic shock, structural heart, HCM, amyloid and sarcoid programs. Outside of work, Dr. Cowger is engaged with various medical societies, including the ACC and serves as an Associate Editor for JACC: HF (Nov 2023-present). She is a former Deputy Editor for JHLT (2020-2023). She has participated in and/or led the development of key documents, including scientific statements, consensus statements, state of the art documents, and guidelines.
